Length: Program is 45 credits. Graduate students take 12-15 credits per semester, so at this rate it should take 1.5 to 2 years; but holding assistantships may call for a lighter course load (as low as 6 credits per semester), in which case it could take longer.

Financial Aid: The James Dickey Fellowships in Poetry and Fiction, in addition to the Sadler Fellowship in Creative Writing, are awarded to MFA applicants with exceptional promise; values are not specified. The English Department offers teaching, editorial, instructional and research assistantships that confer in-state tuition status, as well as a stipend and tuition supplement whose amounts vary with the type of assistantship (exact values not specified).
