Financial Aid: Most students admitted into the MFA program receive Graduate Teaching Assistantships that include a stipend of about $7.5 K for the academic year and a waiver of tuition and most fees. In many cases, an additional $1.5 K may be added to this base salary from the Stephen F. Crocker Scholarship Fund. If sufficient progress is being made towards the degree, the assistantship is normally renewed for the 2nd and 3rd years. Students who attend the English Department’s summer internship program in teaching are paid an additional stipend.
